This experience, in a nutshell

Wild Sardinia, a cruise shared with nature is an experience of life, navigation and cooperation in which a sailboat can become a small community.

The rhythm of the days will be marked by the magically slowed down time of life on the boat. Between a swim in crystal clear waters early in the morning to a walk on deserted beaches, the hearty breakfast will help us to have the right energy to prepare to set sail and open the sails.

You will follow different routes depending on the wind in search of bays and coves off the tourist itineraries.

During the navigation you can cooperate all together or simply relax caressed by the wind. Once we have chosen the roadstead in which to go to sleep, we can enjoy the sunset pampered by a good Vermentino and a rich dinner surrounded by wild beaches and starry skies.

A moment of pure sharing in which stories and tales of life can cheer us up towards a sweet night lulled by the waves.

Depending on the crew's decisions, you can also go ashore with the tender to eat dinner in some small restaurant on the beach.

Snorkeling equipment is available to enjoy the incredible transparency of these waters with the company of many saddled eyes.

Leg 1

Check-in

Check-in takes place on Saturdays at Marina del Sole (molo sant'Elmo) in Cagliari, after 1 pm. First of all, the accommodation in the cabins will take place and the crew will be shown the safety and rescue equipment on the boat, the use of the bathroom and the rules for a safe and harmonious coexistence during the cruise.

At this point, a person will be in charge of the management of the common fund and someone will go shopping, while the boat is arranged for the next day's departure. The supermarket is 10 minutes from the port and you can go there with my van.

Saturday dinner takes place on board in the port or in a typical restaurant in Cagliari.

Leg 2

Departure and navigation

On Sunday morning, after the last preparations, we set sail towards the east coast of the Gulf of Cagliari and, depending on the wind, we can decide where to go by choosing from the beautiful sheltered coves of the sirocco such as Solanas, Torre delle Stelle, Campulongu. If the mistral blows, driven by a stern wind we will be able to take shelter in Porto Giunco, behind Capo Carbonara, in Villasimius. In the following days the route will be decided based on the wind, with the possibility of heading west, crossing the Gulf of Cagliari. Nora, Tuerredda, Cala Piscinnì and Capo Malfitano can be the destinations to choose from for the overnight stay: beautiful bays protected from winds from the southeast or northwest.

In case of strong wind, or according to the preferences of the crew, you can stop in the ports of the area, such as Villasimius or Teulada.

In the evening it will be possible to go ashore with the tender for a walk on the beach, for an aperitif in some characteristic bar, or for a dinner at the restaurant.

Leg 3

Return day

On Thursday we return to Cagliari, where we can spend the last night at anchor at Poetto or directly in the port, depending on weather conditions.

Check-out

Check out begins on Friday, once moored, without haste, depending on the needs of the crew.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

First time on a sailing boat. For me it was an authentic and exciting life experience, in contact with nature and in harmony with people, respecting the rhythms of the wind and the sea. Sardinia needs no introduction. The boat, Moana, although not wide, is welcoming, has stories to tell and inspires you to trust it. Federico is a friendly, patient and prepared skipper, who behaved cautiously when the weather was against us. A good harmony was created with the group on board. All this made my first time on a sailing boat an unforgettable experience and definitely not the last. Thank you!

Being on a boat with Federico was like spending a holiday with an old friend rediscovered. We had already understood from the description in his profile that there was affinity but we were impressed by how much there actually was. Federico is a person of pleasant company, with a wealth of experience, both on land and at sea, which have made him an excellent captain capable of accommodating our requests but also of making decisions when the weather did not allow them to be fulfilled. We sailed along the south coast of Sardinia, learning many notions about the nautical world, sleeping at anchor on various bays, one more beautiful than the other. The boat has all the features to make the holiday comfortable even for those who, like us, are not very familiar with life on board. It was a really relaxing holiday full of emotions, we definitely recommend it and we will do it again at the next opportunity. Thank you Federico!!
