Typical program for a 7-day course departing from:
(provided for information only and may be subject to change depending on weather conditions and on the decision of the skipper)
Departing from Dahouët , you will make a different anchorage each evening in a port in northern Brittany between Saint Malo and Roscoff, the precise locations will be determined by the weather!
Here are some examples :
The port of Gwin-Zegal (Côtes d'Armor):
At the foot of the cliffs of Plouha, it is one of the last piling ports in the country, or even in Europe. To the west of a wild peninsula, about thirty small boats can moor on piles 8 to 10m high, in reality trees taken with their stumps and planted in the sandy bottom. The process, used since the Middle Ages, ensures the stability of the trunk, which is surrounded by stones.
The port of Paimpol (Côtes d'Armor):
The old port that housed the schooners leaving to fish for cod in Iceland is now entirely devoted to pleasure boating. To access it, sailors must match their navigation times with those of the tide, since the cove of Paimpol dries up at low tide. still ; you almost think you're hearing the Newfoundlanders sing one of their legendary savory tunes.
The port of Roscoff (Finistère)
Marina, deep-water port… Roscoff is the port destination par excellence. This former haunt of corsairs is today a small city of character with a unique atmosphere. Recently equipped with a quay for fishing boats, an auction and a marina, it offers a decor with a strong soul, between tradition and modernity.
During this coastal navigation you will take full advantage of the different aspects of life on board while training in the techniques necessary for autonomy on a catamaran : maneuvers in port, local and general weather, point on the nautical chart with and without GPS, settings , anchoring, beaconing, reefing, spinnaker maneuvers...
The on-board instructor adapts his instructions according to the level and objectives of each team member and will alternate practice with more theoretical sessions with topics related to the use of safety equipment, different emergency procedures, preparation before sailing ( man and ship), mechanics, navigation on paper and electronic charts, weather, routing, etc.
Whatever your level, you will progress in maneuvers and settings thanks to the advice of our state-qualified instructor and experienced teacher during this course on a high-performance catamaran that is the TS 42, because it is by going fast that the we learn quickly!

A TS42, a cruising catamaran entirely designed to combine performance with the comfort of two-hull sailing, a High Tech construction with a user-friendly layout.
The undivided interior / exterior space allows for an enlarged living space, the offset helm stations offer a good view forward, on the rigging and on the passage of the boat in the sea with direct access to the setting of the sails.
The maneuvering and watch positions are separate from the amenity areas with a very good view of the bow and the sails, thus facilitating the optimization of the settings.
The very user-friendly relaxation area / berth on the basket offers a 360 ° view of the sea. This place also allows you to participate in life on board while resting comfortably, without disturbing the rest of the crew.
The galley is very spacious considering the size of the boat, a large toilet is present in each float and the aft cabins are bright with a view to the rear (8 berths).
This TS42 is a finned version, more efficient than the standard version.
Nicknamed the "Catamaran Pogo", it is aimed at lovers of sailing.

Meals on board:
You can arrive with a specialty from your region if you wish and make an appointment around 5 p.m. to go and refuel all together on the first evening, then top up as needed during stopovers. It is customary for the skipper's food to be taken care of by the crew, do not hesitate to choose what to cook a dish that you master or that you wish to share!
There is a gas oven, two burners, pots, pans and everything you need for a cordon bleu, what is certain is that eating and drinking well is essential for the smooth running of a boat!
We estimate the costs of the on-board cash box at around 20€/day/person for food, fuel and stopovers, which will be managed by the skipper.

For this course, we recommend that you bring the following equipment:
