On a sailing boat for a wonderful holiday in the Ionians

The motto of the holiday will be, good company, fun, relaxation and adventure , will accompany us throughout the week. The boat is a Beneteau 50 , specially built to offer maximum comfort on board, with 4 double cabins, all cabins offer a private bathroom, 1 separate skipper's cabin in the bow. On the deck you will find a very comfortable 12sqm sundeck.

The skipper has dedicated his life to the sea among thousands of miles with improvised crews and ocean regattas, with the Caribbean and Seychelles behind him in the winter period. Tender with engine and sup. We will meet at the Marina of Sami Kefalonia.

Below they propose a rough itinerary for our holiday. As always, the weather is master on a sailing boat and therefore, if the weather conditions are not favorable, I will propose some changes to always guarantee safety on board. .

Boarding at the port of Sami from 17:00 I recommend for those who arrive early with the flight to Argostoli to bring their bags to the boat in the port of Sami then they can go to visit the lake of Melissani a few kilometers reachable by taxi or walking along the sea or relax to the sea, after embarking and dividing the cabins, all with double bed and private bathroom, we will make a bureaucratic boarding literal we will go to the galley, at which point we will decide based on the weather conditions whether to go to the nearby Antisamos bay or whether go to a tavern to taste Greek delicacies to talk about the week's boat program and get to know each other a little better.

In the morning after a quick breakfast we will leave the port of Sami to head towards Baia Police where we will stop for a swim and have lunch on board of course, after lunch we will open the sails heading north on the island of Lefkada (Lefkas) to the marina of Syvota where we will moor at the quay of the tavern where we will go for dinner in the evening.

The following morning we will sail towards the island of Meganisi where we will find shelter from the wind sheltered in its many inlets and bays to relax, swim and visit the island for those who want it, in the evening we will all go together to dine in a tavern local and we will sleep at anchor in the bay to enjoy a fantastic starry sky.

After breakfast and a nice swim we will leave to go to the island of Kalamos where we will make a stop in the bay for swimming and relaxation of course you can snorkel or go with the sup, then I will decide whether to stay another night in the bay at anchor or whether to go to the Kalalmos marina to spend the night based on the weather.

Wednesday after stocking up our galley with fresh products such as vegetables and fruit we will go to the nearby islet of Formicola to snorkel and if we are lucky we will see the monk seals, after a couple of Dore we will set sail to go to the island of Atokos where we will stop for lunch in the afternoon we will reach a fantastic bay in the north east of the island of Ithaca where we will spend the night in the bay with our starry that will keep us company between stories and personal experiences since after all these days together on the boat we will surely have broken the ice.

Thursday we will go to Vati the city of the island of Ithaca where you can rent a scooter to visit the whole island the various coves and villages on the sea as well as the city of Stavros where Ulysses is said to have been born and obviously buy souvenirs or alternatively go more to the south to go to a protected bay to go ashore to have a bbq on the beach.

On Friday morning we will go to the south of the island where we will stop to swim in the bay, then we will sail to reach the port of Sami in the late afternoon where in the evening we will go to enjoy our dinner and then return on board to sleep

On Saturday morning there will be the disembarkation at 9:00 in the morning and here we will say goodbye full of new sailing and coviviality experiences where there will be not some who will continue their holidays for the Ionian islands and who will leave to go home.
