A splendid bridge of the Epiphany. Max is a very good sailor: professional, competent and nice. Never intrusive. The icing on the cake is his carbonara. To be repeated!

I have been taking holidays by boat for 22 years now and this was among the most beautiful for the sum of night navigation, which made us gain usable time during the day, every evening a ride on land (in places like Cannes, S. Tropez, Porquerolles) even if we slept in the harbor, the beautiful sea of the Côte d'Azur and a sincere thanks to the advice and experience of MAX. See you soon!!!

Holiday with miles of intense and beautiful navigation: the Sol Calao boat, a Stag 50 with slender lines, makes you live an experience for real sea wolves who love to sleep at anchor and long navigations even at night. The skipper Max, very nice and convivial, is very prepared and really available to share the secrets of sailing with his crew. He created a beautiful atmosphere on board, cooked us an exceptional carbonara and a fantastic Cacio e Pepe. Very sporty holiday in beautiful places. A huge THANK YOU to Max!!!

Massimiliano was a crazy teacher, it was a fantastic experience that we can't wait to repeat. The course program was widely respected and the organization impeccable! Max has transmitted to us a great passion for the sea, sailing, nature, conviviality. We learned to plan the navigation of the high seas from the galley, to the first checks, to safety by calculating routes and navigation times. We have applied the rules of day and night precedence and the procedures to face a slightly more intense wind, All in a cheerful and absolutely fun atmosphere! Cristina and Adlan

Max is a MASTER OF LIFE, even before being an excellent skipper! It may be (at first glance) grumpy, but it only does so to spur the crew members to give their best! Sometimes hard (like the sea that does not forgive), but knows how to grasp (and ultimately reward) the wishes of his crew, modeling the holiday on their needs. Prodigal of advice for those who want to learn (do not hesitate to ask them), because behind that armor of "long-time captain", hides a kind and immensely respectful soul for all that is the sea and the marine ecosystem in general! Expert connoisseur of the maritime arts as well as of the places visited during the holiday, having made us discover restaurants and glimpses on land not by classic tourists! Thanks Max, good wind!

Third holiday with sailsquare, twentieth year of charter and first year in which I could not wait to get off. Disorganized boat (fenders always mounted, objects always in the cockpit, dinet with drawers that opened during navigation, no awning except a sheet mounted to the good and better), skipper who could not make a group between the participants (the small groups of good and bad were created in which only the first were treated as payers) nor to respect the stages and, much less, to provide guidance on what to do ("do as you please" as a leitmotiv). The thing that I regretted the most is the constant tension on board, sometimes for nonsense (a yoghurt or a USB cable) that brought the real moments of relaxation only when you went down to the ground. I repeat, first time when I could not wait to get back to land and I'm sorry because you see that XXX would have all the experience necessary for a top holiday, but evidently it was at the last charter of the season

XXX is an experienced sailor but should really rethink his activity in holiday charters. Poor attention to the needs and training of the group, arrogance and rudeness were the backdrop to our holiday that was saved only by the beauty of nature and the places visited, too bad to have pierced two stages! Helped by two aspiring sailors, he showed himself attentive only to their training without on the other hand leveraging on fun, conversation, knowledge of destinations for other participants whether or not they were interested in learning something more about sailing. Strict skipper, mostly silent and angry suitable more for sports holidays than relaxing ones, as well as his boat, sulcalao, certainly excellent for cutting the wind at speed, but rather cramped to accommodate seven people, poorly cared for, poorly maintained and different from the one advertised on his page. Too much tension, difficult to call it a holiday!

A week of real sailing holiday, made of bays, coves and beautiful places. XXX is an experienced and helpful skipper who knows how to stay by sea. It transmits absolute safety, passion for the wind, knowledge of the places and love for the environment. His boat is perfect for sailing and also more than comfortable for life on board. Too bad to have happened with some people of the crew not willing to life on board, who did not have even a little curiosity for what it is to live sailing and with little respect. Very nice week anyway!!

XXX is a true lover of the sea. You can see that it is a job that I have been doing for many years and I have always felt safe on the boat. For the holiday, there were some things that could not be predicted (absence of wind, a really unpleasant guest), but others that certainly could be managed better. There was not much clarity on the program of the week, sold as 7 days in the Aeolian Islands, in which, however, the actual days were 5. In particular, I was very sorry to know only at the end that on the last day, which I thought we were passing in Panarea (the most beautiful island, where we spent only half a day), we would return to Calabria, because the return to port is scheduled for 7 pm the night before (and this was not specified). Of course it is a type of holiday in which you must be ready to adapt, both to the small spaces of the boat, to the other guests, and to the decisions of the skipper. For the next time I will try to inform myself better about the program.

XXX is undoubtedly very competent on the management of the boat, but... but already at boarding, the first surprise: an extra person (welcome on board anyway), then, to follow, the cocks. It is true that: zero wind, super crowded bays, inaccessible ports ..., in short, a series of ominous events, but it's August, what do you want to do? As the days passed, the cazziatoni and other lack of attention / respect extended to the rest of the crew, while I was more or less part of the skipper's graces. Now I do not know if XXX had all his own reasons for being often rude or if it was only due to the weather situation (zero wind and engine running-in, but if you do not force, you can not respect the stages). His final decision to have a whole night, under the coast, alone (no shifts even for company) is, after all, the thing that I least liked: they are risks not to be taken. Sorry, XXX, but with us you did not live up to the other reviews.

A surprise in every sense! XXX, at the helm of his XXX, is a kind, honest and undoubtedly prepared and skilled person in the job he does: that of the skipper. About this figure, for those of us who did not have any sea experience, it would have been appreciated to receive more preliminary information from Sailsquare so that the choice of the holiday was better calibrated with respect to our expectations. Despite this, XXX has introduced us more than worthily to the world of sailing and today we can no longer do without it! We recommend this experience to those who, young (not necessarily anagraphically!) and in the mood for adventure and spirit of adaptation, want to experience that freedom that only the sea can give. As for XXX, forget about the silent sea wolf of the common imagination, a talkative and helpful sailor awaits you PS: always remember to "pamper" the one who in the bad weather brings you safely to bathe in dream places!

What else to say about XXX?! Prepared and very present, always attentive and helpful as well as excellent company. His experience and friendliness and a very close-knit crew gave an extra flavor to all the moments of the holiday, characterized by enchanting places and lots of laughter. I would leave immediately and for anywhere ... Thank you!

XXX is a passionate skipper who dedicates himself body and soul to his activity, day and night, and is able to involve the people around him, explaining his decisions with experience and skill. He takes care of everyone's needs, committing himself to the maximum, while at the same time letting customers give the preferred shape to their holiday. Drawbacks of the boat aside, even avoidable, XXX has given us many moments of great company and harmony.

XXX is a highly experienced professional passionate about his work. Let us advise you on the routes and bays to visit. the Spaghettata cacio e pepe that cooked us in the harbor ... it was from "fight to the last shoe". Thank you XXX for the nice experience you made us live.

Holiday full of adventure. Despite the small inconveniences dictated above all by bad weather, XXX turned out to be a great Skipper, reliable and company.
