Baratti can be reached via the A12/E80 motorway; coming from the north, exit at Rosignano Marittimo or Cecina, from the south exit at Venturina or Follonica, then continue on the SS1 (Aurelia) towards Piombino and follow the signs for Populonia/Baratti along the provincial roads; from the center of Piombino the road to Baratti is direct and takes about 15-25 minutes of driving. Approximate distances: Livorno ~40 km, Pisa ~70 km, Florence ~120 km, Rome ~270 km; there are rest and parking areas near the coast and the archaeological area of Baratti.

Reference stations on the Tyrrhenian line: Campiglia Marittima and Piombino Marittima; Campiglia serves regional connections from Pisa, Livorno and Florence, with approximate travel times of about 30-45 minutes from Livorno, 45-60 minutes from Pisa and 90-110 minutes from Florence; from Campiglia station it is possible to continue by train on the short link road to Piombino or with local bus services and taxis to Baratti, which is about 15-30 minutes by car from the stations; from Piombino Marittima the road section to Baratti takes about 15-25 minutes.

Nearest airports: Pisa Galileo Galilei (PSA), Florence Peretola (FLR) and, at a greater distance, Rome Fiumicino (FCO); transfers from the terminal to Baratti by car: Pisa about 1h10-1h30, Florence 1h45-2h30, Rome 3h30-4h; from Pisa Airport it is possible to reach Pisa Centrale by shuttle or train and then continue with the regional trains towards Campiglia / Piombino, or opt for car rental or taxi for direct transfer; similar train+bus or car rental combinations are possible from Florence and Rome.

Double cabins are usually assigned to those traveling as a couple, while those booking individually share a bunk cabin with another traveler (not necessarily of the same gender). Spots are assigned in order of booking, except in special cases.

The provisions will be purchased jointly by the skipper and the participants.

Meal preparation is a shared activity among all participants in the experience, unless the optional “Hostess/Cook on board” service is available and has been chosen.

You don't need specific sailing skills, good mobility does, and knowing that you don't suffer from seasickness.

The boat is equipped with 12V sockets (with USB and/or cigarette lighter connectors), which can normally be used at any time.
