This experience, in a nutshell

We will first sail along the west coast, Sardinia shows the lesser-known side, away from the villages and nightlife. The silence mixes with the roar of the white waves flowing over the turquoise sea. In the sky, the spectacular choreography of pink flamingos. On earth the melancholy beauty of the old mining facilities, reddened by time.

Oristano, with its Phoenician origins, represents the noble soul of this part of Sardinia, with its monuments and its food and wine specialties, such as Vernaccia. Visit the Sinis Peninsula, full of dream beaches. Here lies the fascinating and mythical area of Tharros, a city founded by the Phoenicians around the eighth century BC, and just offshore the small island of Mal di Ventre and the Scoglio del Catalano, which together with the Sinis Peninsula form the Sinis Mal di Ventre Marine Protected Area.

Cabras, whose pond is famous for the variety of water birds that breed among the reeds, houses in the Giovanni Marongiu Municipal Archaeological Museum the famous giants of Mont'e Prama, the oldest colossus statues in the Mediterranean, and the archaeological finds found in Tharros. Further south, let yourself be enraptured by the gems of the Costa Verde: almost 50 kilometres of wide beaches, rocky coves, white seabeds and golden sand, whose particularity lies in the silence and wild nature that borders these places. Don't miss the beach of Piscinas, the only desert in Europe that, with its mountains of sand sculpted by the mistral, between sea lilies and poppies, can offer you the incomparable vision of the Sardinian deer that at dawn goes as far as the sea.

Then we will head south, from the beautiful islands of San Pietro and Sant'Antioco, to Porto Corallo, on the opposite coast, there are beaches with a tropical soul, colors and cultural riches that make southern Sardinia one of the favorite stops for international tourism. Carloforte, the most important town on the island of San Pietro, invites you to its village. Dive into Cala Fico among its lively seabed or take a dip in the Cove.

We will moor in the tourist port of Sant'Antioco, the ancient Sulky, full of typical restaurants, and dive into the emerald Cala Grotta. Then Iglesias, queen of medieval re-enactments, welcomes you among mines and ancient churches. Breathtakingly beautiful beaches follow one another from Capo Teulada to Pula. Tuerredda, a turquoise and blue cove in front of which stands an islet rich in lush Mediterranean scrub. In the sea of Cala Cipolla, explore its promontories and take a photo at the lighthouse of Capo Spartivento. At the center of the Gulf of Angels is Cagliari, the capital of the island and our final destination, a city of artistic beauties that chase each other through the streets of the historic districts.

Alghero to the Costa Smeralda

We spent a very good week with Tommaso on his beautiful sailboat. The weather was not always ideal for sailing, and the program could not be realized, but our skipper found us visits, restaurants and nice walks to console us. We discovered life on board and learned how to ride the boat. Too bad for the Maddalena, we just have to start again. With Tommaso maybe!

Palma and Menorca

We enjoyed a very pleasant sailing week leaving from Palma de Mallorca , coasting the eastern side of Mallorca, crossing to Menorca and reaching Mahon from the northern side of the island. Tommaso has been a very relaxed and competent skipper, always attentive to our requests and keen to discuss with us the best route to take on a daily basis. A memorable experience.
