This experience, in a nutshell

Adventure cruise on a slender and fast boat, where you can participate in maneuvers and also learn sailing. We will cook in the evening on board, if moored at anchor, but also visiting the villages of Island Dalmatia and perhaps at the local restaurants, when we stay in the marina or at the buoys. The day usually starts early in the morning, breakfast on board and off to the open sea for about 25 miles of navigation a day, always under sail, weather permitting.

In Croatia in August there is a lot of boat traffic so in the early afternoon we will try to be moored to find the place. It will be hot, if at anchor it will be time to swim in the beautiful cool waters of Dalmatia, but if necessary we will throw ourselves into the sea even briefly along the way. We will eat together and taste the wines (white) with which we will supply the cellar. The crew will have simple but important tasks, for example regarding mooring maneuvers, or the galley and the kitchen and we will provide the necessary hygiene on board. Those who have never sailed Kvarner, a mythical windy gate between Istria and Dalmatia, will have the opportunity to experience it twice and from different sides, southwards towards Susak and northwards from the island of Unije. Those who have never seen the Kornati Islands here will be able to meet them in their rugged beauty in the sea as blue as and more than the sky, and then the Long Island - Dugi Otok, Premuda, Ilovik, Ist, Silba and Olib, all islands with different identities, colors and scents.

A cruise that will be difficult to forget for these and many other aspects. The program, without prejudice to the general indications, is always variable, depending on the weather, sea and other needs that may arise, always at the discretion of the skipper.

Skipper

August cruise along Istria from the gulf of Trieste to Kvarner and back

08/18/2023

Federica G.

Gabriele é un vero appassionato di vela ed è uno skipper molto esperto. Attraverso i suoi insegnamenti ci ha trasmesso molte nozioni e tecniche di vela . Abbiamo fatto diverse tappe in Istria navigando prevalentemente a vela . É stata un’esperienza molto bella anche dal punto di vista della relazione, aspetto non comune di questi tempi . Grazie Gabriele e grazie [hidden] ! “Non basta avere la voce più melodiosa per intonare un [hidden]. No. Bisogna anche sentirlo. Bisogna viverne lo spirito “ Carlos Gardel Federica , Fabio , Alessia e Antonio

Thanks to Gabriele for letting me live my first Barcolana, the very little wind did not prevent us from living this wonderful experience. Gabriele is a great host and a very good skipper, welcoming, kind and always available. Super recommended! Greetings and thanks also to the other fantastic regatta companions with the hope of finding them again at sea.

Our experience with Gabriele, the boat, the crew, the delivery and of course being able to experience the Barcolana was incredible and could not have been better. Gabriele proved to be a competent and knowledgeable captain as well as a fine gentleman. We feel as if we have found new friends in Gabriele and the other members of the crew and hope that we will be able to sail with them again in the future. The travel gods have been with us!
