Our itinerary

Our trip starts here:

San Vincenzo.

Check-in: 3:00 PM

Our trip ends here:

San Vincenzo.

Check-out: 9:00 AM

Leg 1

San Vincenzo - Capraia

Boarding is scheduled from 15:00 at the port of San Vincenzo. After a first briefing on the trip we will go to the galley together for the days of sea and sailing that will await us and we will get to know all the crew. If the weather conditions allow us, we will leave immediately for Capraia so as to enjoy a quiet navigation until we arrive at the beautiful volcanic island of Capraia where we will spend the first night.

Leg 2

Capraia - Corsica

After a hearty breakfast and a nice dip we set off in the direction of Corsica! This magical island that will make you fall in love. We head almost to the northern end of Cap Corse, the peninsula known by the nickname of Corsica. An unspoiled place, sometimes wild, with a very special charm and a panorama that you will not forget so easily. The sea, needless to say, is simply crystal clear. Behind it there are valleys where vaches corses (cows) often roam, sometimes even going to the beach for a walk. Rade de Santa Maria with its bright colors and the ruins of a Genoese watchtower. Our second day ends with the last sail around the finger and arriving at the west coast. We will stop in Centuri full of small characteristic restaurants, where you can taste the best lobsters in the world. The stop in Centuri is possible in good weather conditions.

Leg 3

Calvi

A fundamental stop on this journey will be Calvi, a city built on Punta San Francesco between the Gulf of Revellata and the gulf of the same name. Long ago this city was divided into two districts: the High City with the Citadel, and the Lower City with the Navy. The Citadel is the real historic center of the city, built in 1600 by the Genoese. In the morning, after a nice breakfast and a dip (which is always good for us) we will sail towards Calvi! We will go ashore to enjoy the narrow alleys with houses still inhabited, stone floors and blue and blue windows that characterize this reality rich in history and legends, a reality that bears the sign of time and sea air that contribute to making this place almost magical and out of time.

Leg 4

Saint Florant

Today we visit the pristine beach of Saleccia, an expanse of white sand and turquoise waters where you can spend the day at anchor. The sail continues to Saint Florant, a small but beautiful village, with restaurants hidden in the coves to the north. Here it is worth making a visit on land and then deciding whether to stop at the port to have dinner in one of the Corsican restaurants, or have dinner on board and then go down with the tender and enjoy the evening on land

Leg 5

Nonza

We will depart from Saint Florent to head towards Nonza. Once at the beach, it will be possible to go up a path that will lead to the village perched on the mountain close to the beach.  A really lovely, quiet place, where time seems to have stopped, here you can relax in the square in the shade of a tree and enjoy a nice cold beer, visit the village church and take a walk through the narrow streets that cross it. The sail then continues towards Aliso beach, a very long sandy beach dotted with small freshwater ponds

Leg 6

Return to Tuscany

After breakfast, departure for the Tuscan coast. Return to the port of San Vincenzo on Friday evening, sunset time, disembarkation is scheduled for Saturday morning. About 200NM of navigation with an expected fuel consumption of 70LT with the knowledge that the WEATHER will decide our route and our roadsteads.

Leg 7

Disembarkation

On Saturday morning we will leave but not before having done a breefing of the holiday. Descent scheduled from 8-00 to 10-00 AM.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Northern Corsica: the sailing wonder!

09/2/2023

Barbara M.

The holiday was not up to the lavish expense (1039 + galley + ports) and the behavior of the skipper was unacceptable: I was attacked with swear words on the third day stopped in port for having asked for information on what to do. Arriving on the first evening, the skipper informs you that due to the weather you are not going to North Corsica. We think for the first few days, then the weather improves and yet we stay between the south-east of Elba and Capraia. He could make up for it by having us do numerous coves a day or the entire Tuscan coast, but the skipper didn't want to do much, he often slept or stayed in a room with his escort. I've never seen a skipper who takes the best room in the bow for himself, letting the payers sleep outside because of the heat, or in the dinette, since the rooms at the stern were hot and noisy. The roadstead holiday was therefore more in port. Never done so few boat baths. Finally, the indicated age for which I had chosen the 30-50 trip was fake, it was 41-68.

Simply extraordinary, a connoisseur of the places, the wind, the sea. But there is something greater than the sea, which few have: a beautiful Soul. And that of Francis shines through in every gesture, in every smile, in every silence listening to his wind. Thank you for everything Conandante.
