The Maddalena Park and the Costa Smeralda are an ode to Mediterranean beauty: unspoiled nature, dream beaches and the timeless charm of a place where luxury harmonizes with the wild nature of the places.

Visiting this corner of Sardinia is more than a holiday; It is a journey into a world of pure magic, which will leave you breathless and with your heart full of wonder. A natural jewel that seems to come out of a dream.

Here, 62 islands and islets emerge from crystal-clear waters that fade from turquoise to cobalt blue, creating a breathtaking contrast to the wind-smoothed granite rocks. Experiencing this wonder from a sailboat is the best way to immerse yourself in this magic.

On board you will be accompanied by me or one of my collaborators: an experienced skipper, FIV offshore sailing instructor, ready to offer you a unique experience.

Our itinerary

Boarding in Portisco and route to the islands of the Maddalena park, Caprera, Spargi, Budelli, Santa Maria with a stop in all the roadsteads where we can stop, to arrive north in the Corsican part of the archipelago towards the Strait of Bonifacio with wild and fascinating Lavezzi and Cavallo. Possible stops in the port Porto Massimo on La Maddalena, Cala Gavetta main port of La Maddalena, Porto do Cavallo and Bonifacio, the suggestive port insinuated in a fjord in southern Corsica. Return and disembarkation in Portisco in the heart of the Costa Smeralda

The experience overall was good! It would have been appreciated, though, if I had been informed somewhat in advance that I was the only one who wasn’t Italian, and with the change of skipper, nobody involved with the boat spoke a word of English. Only the “guests” did, which was of course great as they kindly translated things for me, but it still made the situation uncomfortable. Since everyone naturally spoke the same language, all conversations were in Italian - which I understand but unless I asked for a translation, I didn’t really know what was happening and I was naturally excluded from conversations which wasn’t the best feeling. It also felt a bit strange to be regulated on when we were allowed to use the bathroom or take a shower (mostly never). As a first-timer on a boat, I was also a little shocked that, due to the bad weather, we almost had to pay an extra €500 on top of the original fees just to stay in the harbour and for food. I understand the food part, but a heads-up beforehand would have been really helpful, especially that in case of bad weather, nothing is included in the price and everything extra has to be paid separately on top. That being said, everyone was very kind and there were no issues otherwise.

Although the weather was not the best, the experience was overall positive between the excellent company we were lucky enough to find and the evocative places visited. Our skipper Manuel stood out for his friendliness, patience and attention to everyone's needs, We had a lot of fun!

The cruise with Federico was spectacular! He welcomed us with great availability and made us feel at ease from the first moment. We sailed a lot, as soon as possible sailing with only the sound of the wind. We always felt calm and safe thanks to the skipper's great experience and his constant attention to every detail. His knowledge of the places allowed us to explore beautiful places. To this must be added that he cooks very well! If you are lucky enough to have Emanuele, his son, on the boat, the company will be enriched by a young boy full of intelligence and positive energy! We got off the boat reluctantly and we can't wait to be able to do more miles on the beautiful [hidden]!
