This experience, in a nutshell

The islands of the Eastern Sporades (Ikaria, Fourni and Samos) together with those further north of the Dodecanese (Patmos, Leros, Lipsi, Agatonissi) guarantee an itinerary off the most classic routes of the major charter companies even in high season. They are therefore perfect for a mid-August holiday away from the crowds, noisy flotillas and bays and beaches super crowded with tourists. Scattered off the coast of Turkey, the islands constitute the most eastern, cosmopolitan archipelago, with architectural features of clear oriental influence.

The itinerary is very varied, some islands are parched and barren, others green and fertile and rich in water springs. All the islands are wonderful, each with its own grace, each with its own story.

Under a great sun, carried by the wind, from port to port, from cove to cove, we will discover the villages and landings of these Aegean islands: white villages clinging to the rock that look at you from above, jagged coasts, intense light and sun, a crystal clear sea, churches, castles and monasteries, together with a warm welcome of an area still out of mass tourism.

The itinerary is very rich and admits multiple variations: we will alternate days of longer navigation with days that require only a short sea ride and we will allow ourselves stops to go and browse the land and explore the islands by bike, car or renting scooters, stretch our legs and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation and refreshing baths in the most beautiful coves.

No previous experience is needed, but the boat holiday is suitable for a young crew, with good agility and physical fitness, a lover of the sea, sailing and travel.

The actual route will be decided on the spot based on weather conditions, listening to everyone's preferences but on the unquestionable decision of the Captain, who aims to ensure a pleasant and safe itinerary.

In case of adverse weather conditions that cannot be circumvented, we will stop in a port or in a protected roadstead, exploring the island from land and visiting the villages and beaches.

The following itinerary is therefore indicative.

Our itinerary

From 5 p.m. boarding begins, you get on board, arrange your luggage and make the first common shopping (galley), which will then be replenished during the journey where necessary. In the evening we go out for dinner in a local tavern and we start to get to know each other.

Samos has been known since ancient times for its beauty and wealth, which is why it has been a crossroads of men of art and ingenuity, of which it still bears traces today. It is a green and fertile island, rich in water and forests, where fine wines and valuable artifacts are produced. From here we will set off to discover the nearby Fourni, the island with the strange shape of a lobster. Very rich in fish and almost without roads, it is therefore inhabited by a population of fishermen who move mainly by sea. Ikaria takes its name from the myth of Icarus, who launched himself towards the Sun with his wax wings. A rebellious, wild island, full of surprises such as the thermal waters that flow from a cave on the sea. Then Patmos, the island where St. John wrote the Apocalypse, Lipsi and / or Agatonissi, wild, isolated where we can enjoy swimming and relaxing in breathtaking bays.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Andrea is exquisite and knows how to put you at ease. He is prepared and able to solve the various unforeseen events typical of life at sea. The variable weather prevented us from making the most of the experience at sea but the alternative proposals for shore excursions proposed by Andrea were equally exhaustive.
