This experience, in a nutshell

ATTENTION: CONTACT THE ORGANIZERS BEFORE BOOKING To start, thank you for asking us, it is a matter of pride for us!

Below we propose a typical itinerary to discover the Aeolian Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The sailing holidays with us start every Saturday afternoon after 18:30 from Lipari. SATURDAY
... finally arrived: the holiday begins! We will welcome you with a "Welcome" aperitif on board and typical Sicilian snacks carefully prepared by us, also an opportunity for a briefing on everything related to safety on board: a few rules but necessary to make your holiday unique and unforgettable. The first evening we will go to dinner in a typical trattoria in the heart of Lipari and it will also be an opportunity to visit the first of the seven wonders of the Mediterranean.

SUNDAY
The next morning, after a hearty breakfast on board, we will drop the moorings and after having hoisted the sails, we will put our bow on course for Lisca Bianca . We will moor and the desire to dive into the crystal clear water will be the first thought of the day but above all it will be fun to get carried away by the bubbles of the Geysers among the hot water sulfites. After lunch we will head to Stromboli where we will spend the first night in front of the spectacular perennially active volcano. Here it will be possible to carry out the excursion at high altitude with the guides (by reservation) for a breathtaking sunset during the explosive phases of "Iddu". It is also possible to rent a small boat to admire the sunset from the sciara and see the explosions of "Iddu" from the sea. It will also be the first night of your week lulled by the sea ready and excited for the day to come.

MONDAY
The day after our route will point towards Panarea and we will spin the chain in the Milazzese Bay. A nice dip in front of one of the few beaches of the Aeolian Islands is a must before a lunch in a bay where it is still possible to visit the remains of the Bronze Age village on the southern promontory. In the afternoon a walk to the village of Panarea with the "golf buggy" (but also on foot in 15 minutes) to reach the center of the Aeolian nightlife is inevitable. As is inevitable an aperitif watching the colors of Basiluzzo that change during the sunset and then dine in the tradition of Aeolian cuisine.

TUESDAY
Route to Pollara (Salina) natural amphitheater famous for the shooting of the film “Il Postino” by Massimo Troisi. Some natural caves look after small fishing boats and the scenery seems to be from other times. After lunch we will head to Filicudi and land in Pecorini, a hamlet to the south, meeting place for evening aperitifs with typical Sicilian dishes accompanied by local Malvasia. The view of the hamlet on one side and the sea on the other is the ideal place to dine in the cockpit and admire the sunset.

WEDNESDAY
In the morning we will circumnavigate the island to the Canna, a 71 meter high cliff that represents the last eruptive phase of about 40,000 years ago. Here the Queen's Falcon nests and one of the Aeolian lizard subspecies lives, which today unfortunately risks extinction. Do not miss the circumnavigation of the Canna with mask and fins in search of the Brown Grouper, Dentex or Perchia. We will say goodbye to Filicudi and aim at the island of Salina , to reach Santa Marina di Salina where we will moor and after a nice swim we will be able to visit the town. It will be possible to have a tasting of local wines (by reservation) in the cellars now famous all over the world for the production of Malvasia and to have dinner based on the typical "pane cunsato" in Lingua, southern tip of Salina.

THURSDAY
After breakfast we will sail towards the Pomici and moor in front of what were the factories of their processing. After lunch we will put the bow towards Vulcano and moor at the black sands, a beach of volcanic sand. It will be possible to make an excursion on the Volcano , where the landscape leaves you breathless and then a relaxing break - just enough time for digestion - in the ideal place for fishing for Occhiate con le gallette. From here the view of the sunset is spectacular because the sun hides between Alicudi and Filicudi.

FRIDAY
Head south, Mulberry . The southernmost lighthouse of the Aeolian Islands. Here too there is a black sand beach and if you want you can visit a small cellar where the passito is produced. After lunch and after having hoisted the sails, the bow of our boat will point to the castle of Lipari where we will moor in the marina. Only we will realize that the week has flown by and unfortunately by nine the next morning, after breakfast, we will say goodbye as if we had spent a lifetime together.

The program is indicative: it mainly depends on the weather and can be changed unquestionably by the conductor of the boat. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE RATE
Hostess on board and cook , who will pamper you with her delicacies based on local and fresh products and with carefully prepared preserves during the winter. The breakfasts with jams of oranges, blackberries, apricots, lunches and dinners with fresh local products, are his specialties. The seven wonders of the Mediterranean - 16mt boat for 4 guests - Hostess on board

Simona and Danilo are excellent hosts. The disconnection is total aboard [hidden] Out, the perfectly maintained monohull sailboat. Simona is a great Sicilian cook. We feasted at every meal of fresh produce and the sea. Danilo knows perfectly each rock of each island, which allows him to best adapt the program according to the weather and the desires of each. To enjoy this trip you have to go with the nomadic spirit and adventure (no hot shower every day, but that's not what we came for). Snorkeling at will and discovery of underwater geysers enchanted us. Note: the Vulcano crater was not accessible due to toxic gases. The ascent to Stromboli is not always possible. We will renew the experience.

This was my first experience on a sailing boat and I left with a small baggage and a desire for lightness. The Aeolian Islands are a poetic place, where wild vegetation and volcanoes dominate. The traveling companions, known on board, were for me a pleasant discovery, and on land they mistook us several [hidden]s for a family, perhaps because the love for the sea makes known similar people. We immersed ourselves in the culture of the place, between ancient sayings of the fishermen and secrets about the winds with the skipper Danilo, learning that: 'U scirocc mprun u ponent', because to listen to it well, the wind speaks to us. The week chosen, at the turn of August, between 'Marino traffic', beginners and bad weather has helped to create small moments of tension (perhaps some avoidable?), but Simona has always thought of keeping the mood high, with her Sicilian cuisine doc, expert hands and big heart. His spaghetti with squid and albacore stew will remain in our summer memories forever

Negative and inadvisable experience: Danilo did not miss an opportunity to ignite fights with the other boats during mooring and unmooring. On the fifth day he even threatened to sink the catamaran that flanked us because of some bags of waste deposited on the quay. Reason why we finished the holiday prematurely and spent the last two days in the hotel. On board everything was super measured: the bread (every [hidden] we had to ask for it and for two days we were offered stale bread), the water to drink (we were reproached for an above average consumption), the water with which to rinse after the baths, the food (the only two dinners on board were a single dish based on pasta). In the morning, in order to have breakfast, it was necessary to wait for Simona to wake up. Embarrassing the scene of Danilo regarding the method of payment of extras (transfer arranged regularly) with intimidating attitude for having doubted the tax regularity.

The week spent in the company of Danilo and Simona was unforgettable! We got on the boat and let ourselves be pampered and guided throughout by them. They organized excursions, routes, dinners. Simona's dishes are amazing! A real added value to have skippers and hostesses, always available and ready to organize unforgettable moments. We simply turned off our brains and enjoyed this beautiful holiday. Thanks again!
