Welcome aboard our 7 days cruise with hostess sailing among the wonders of the Mediterranean ... The Aeolian islands!
Below we offer a typical itinerary to discover the Aeolian Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sailing holidays with us start every Saturday afternoon after 5:30 pm from Lipari. SATURDAY
... finally arrived: the holiday begins! We will welcome you with the "Welcome" aperitif on board and typical Sicilian appetizers carefully prepared by the hostess, also an opportunity for a briefing on everything that will concern safety on board. Few rules but necessary to make your holiday unique and unforgettable. The first evening we will have dinner in a typical trattoria in the heart of Lipari and it will also be an opportunity to visit the first of the seven wonders of the Mediterranean.
SUNDAY The next morning after a rich breakfast on board, we will drop the moorings and set our bow on course for the Pomici di Lipari and those that were the factories of their processing. We will moor and the desire to dive into the crystal clear water will be the first thought of the day. After lunch we will head for Stromboli where we will spend the first night at anchor in front of the spectacular perennially active volcano. Here it will be possible to make the excursion at altitude with the guides (by reservation), to let yourself be captured and thrilled by a breathtaking sunset and to admire the eruptive phases of "Iddu".
MONDAY
The next day our route will head towards Panarea and exactly in front of Lisca Bianca. Here it will be possible to dive among the sulphurous hot water, a spectacle of Sicilian nature. Lunch and small transfer to Baia Milazzese (Panarea) where it will be possible to visit the remains of the Bronze Age village or to reach the village of Panarea, place of the Aeolian nightlife, with golf buggies.
TUESDAY
Route for Filicudi to the Canna, a 71-meter-high stack that represents the last eruptive phase of about 40,000 years ago. Here the Queen's Hawk nests and one of the Aeolian lizard subspecies lives, which today unfortunately risks extinction. Do not miss the circumnavigation of the Canna with mask and fins in search of the Brown Grouper, Snapper or Perch. In the afternoon we will arrive in Pecorini, a very small village known by all for an evening aperitif, while the sun hides behind the island of Alicudi.
WEDNESDAY
We will say goodbye to Filicudi and point the island of Salina, exactly Pollara, a natural amphitheater famous for the shooting of the film "Il Postino" by Massimo Troisi. Some natural caves look after small fishing boats and the scenery seems to be from another era. After lunch we will circumnavigate the island to reach Santa Marina di Salina, where we will moor to visit the town. It will be possible to make a tasting of local wines (by reservation) in the cellars now famous all over the world for the production of Malvasia.
THURSDAY
After breakfast we will sail the canal - south route - and stop in the Baia da Vinci where for years, without light and without running water, what everyone once called Robinson Crusoe has lived: a nice man with his dog now used to receiving visits from 21st century tourists. Lunch and then a relaxing break - just the time of digestion - in the ideal place for fishing for Occhiate with biscuits. From here the view of the sunset is spectacular because the sun hides between Alicudi and Filicudi.
FRIDAY
Route to Vulcano and mooring at the black sands, beach of volcanic grains. It will be possible to make an excursion on the Volcano, where the landscape scenery leaves you breathless. In the early afternoon we will circumnavigate the island with a stop in Gelso for a swim at sunset before our return to Lipari. We will sleep in the marina and the next morning, at breakfast, we will say goodbye as if we had spent a lifetime together.
