This experience, in a nutshell
Want to make miles? You've landed on the right holiday!
In one week we will sail the northern Tyrrhenian Sea between Tuscany, Liguria and northern Corsica, covering an average of 50 nautical miles per day (a total of about 300 per week).
An experience dedicated to real sea dogs, who love to sail and above all to learn, because - like all our published events - this is also a SAILING COURSE on a cruise!
In fact, the navigation will be carried out under the instructions and supervision of two sailing instructors.
If it is not your first experience on a sailboat, you love sailing (even in uneven sea conditions) and you want to consolidate your knowledge (even minimal) about sailing, this is the right holiday for you.
Starting from Bocca di Magra we will move towards the island of Elba, and then head for Capraia, Corsica and then Liguria (the itinerary may vary depending on the weather). There is also a part of night sailing. You will be involved in all check-in - galley stowage and check-out activities. During the week you will actively participate with the crew (final 6 students + 2 instructors) in all the maneuvers on board and in the management of the boat, learning, putting into practice and metabolizing every teaching!
You will be confronted with preparing simple meals at sea during the day and well-deserved delicacies in the evening (on land or by boat). The alarm won't go off too late and you'll see sea, pristine landscapes, breathtaking sunsets and - hopefully - lots of dolphins every day!
At the end of the week you will probably be tired, but able to steer a sailboat - even independently.
With the 2 of you, the skippers/sailing instructors will occupy the long navigation with theoretical and practical lessons on boat steering, sail reduction, emergency management, anchorages, moorings, regulations to prevent collisions at sea and navigation lights, the use of VHF, day/night sea signaling and many other topics that will arise from day to day and from situation to situation.
A minimum of sailing experience is required, but don't be afraid: it's easy to revise, even if you're very rusty or have done very few courses.
Mandatory for participation: MEDICAL CERTIFICATE TO CARRY OUT NON-COMPETITIVE SPORTS ACTIVITIES
We will sail aboard a 2005 Bavaria 42 (refit in 2022) equipped with 3 double cabins and two bathrooms, you can see the photos among the gallery images.
