review about Discover the islands of Chausey from Saint-Malo August 2022
with Jean Luc M. 48 years old
Hello and welcome !
Embark with Jean-Luc from Saint-Malo and sail to discover the islands of Chausey, Saint-Cast, the Ebihens islands, the Agot island, and Cancale.
Depending on the weather conditions and your wishes, the itinerary and the program can be modified on the first day on board. The route below is an example.
Day 1: Boarding scheduled for 9:00 am in Saint-Malo. Installation on the boat, presentation of the rules of life on board and of safety. Head for the Chausey Islands. Granite archipelago, the protected site is classified "Natura 2000". You may be able to spot dolphins during your crossing. Paradise on earth, the archipelago is preserved from the visual and sound pollution of the continent. You will appreciate the sound of the water, the song of the birds and the return to nature. Night at wild anchorage.
Day 2: Hoist the sails towards the Ebihens islands or the Agot island depending on the tide. Ebihens Islands: Put your foot on land and discover the archipelago by following the path that allows you to cross the island.
You will have the opportunity to appreciate the varied landscapes: moors, undergrowth, beaches, marine and wild landscapes but also the Vauban Tower. Agot Island : Natural site and classified "Natura 2000", the rocky islet is home to many species of birds such as the cormorant, the herring gull and sea-gull, the serte and the oyster-magpie. Keep your eyes peeled for them!
The island of Agot also hides protohistoric sites. Let yourself be tempted by a hike through history. Return to the port and disembarkation scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

It is a boat designed for the trip drawn without worry of gauge. Everything has been done to obtain a fast boat while respecting the specifications for the big cruise, that is to say a sailboat, with a great stability of road, the capacity to support a heavy load, and a great solidity for the security needed for this program.
Although having a reinforced sampling, the boat is lighter than a standard construction thanks to its method of construction in epoxy wood composite, according to the method of strip planking. It is a fiberglass / red cedar / epoxy resin sandwich that combines a compromise between lightness, rigidity, strength, and insulation.
Despite its travel boat program, it has been designed and built with real performance concerns that bring pleasure, feel, and safety. Its hull is reminiscent of those from offshore racing and influenced the architecture of the first Class 40 and many current cruisers.
