Split and Vis Archipelago: different bay every day

Nous avons passé une semaine agréable avec Kris, mais certains points ont dégradé notre impression générale: La destination devait être les Iles Kornati, mais sous prétexte du faible vent prévu, nous avons fait un autre trajet fort joli par ailleurs. Il nous a manqué un briefing de sécurité avec en particulier l’emplacement des gilets de sauvetage. Kris nous a fait payer pour un hublot cassé alors que j'avais moi-même suggéré de le fermer avant de naviguer ce qui aurait pu éviter le problème. Il nous a aussi facturé un levier de taquet qui a cassé en le fermant simplement. J'ai ensuite appris qu'il avait dit à une autre personne de ne pas le fermer. Ma conclusion est que ce taquet était déjà défectueux. Kris c'est montré facilement agressif envers des personnes extérieures au bateau (personnel de port, de concession, autres bateaux). Cela engendrant une mauvaise ambiance à bord Dommage, car le bateau de Kris est vraiment sa maison et il nous a fait découvrir des joyaux de cette région. - - - - - - REPLY OF SKIPPER - - - - - Oliver, you did not mention that you asked to arrive a day earlier because of your flight schedule and I agreed. The very day you arrived, to make sitting outside more comfortable I pulled out seat cushions from the compartment in the cockpit where the safety vests are and you were right there. Besides, after I showed you around the boat I said that if you had any questions, to please ask me. All other required safety equipment is clearly visible. You told me that you and your family love to eat fish, so the next day, early in the morning,before we left I took Emmanuelle and her friend to the market where they were able to buy not only the freshest fish but also local fruit and vegetables. From the day we left, every day I took you to a different, beautiful bay with crystal clear waters where you could, fish, swim, relax and spend the night. In one week we motored and sailed over 150 Nm. That even though there was no wind in the weather forecast for the whole week I took you where I thought we can catch some wind and we sailed, well your kids did. I have to say they are pretty good at it. From Saturday, when you arrived until Sunday, when you left, only once you had to pay for a marina, that was in Jelsa in Hvar where you disembarked. That as supposed to be back in Marina Agana on Saturday afternoon, as agreed, I dropped you off in Jelsa where you arranged to stay for another week. Because of that I saved you a day of travel and expense and I still had to spend an extra day getting back to Marina Agana, for which I did not get compensated, it took over 35 Nm and 6 hours for me to get back. It is unfortunate but if you damage, brake or loose any item on the boat, or in fact anywhere, you are financially responsible. Emmanuelle pushed the hatch back hard enough that the plexiglass broke off at the hinge.That happened in the morning in the bay in Milna, not when sailing. As for the halyard stopper handle, when Clement and Chloe were sailing, it was intact. Maybe you did not see it, ask Emmanuelle what happened. Oliver, I understand that there are things you may not have liked and you wanted to share them with other members of Sailsquare, however it would have been nice if you mentioned just a few of those positive things I have done for you and your family. Well I guess c'est la vie.

We had a lovely week on Kris' beautiful and comfortable sailboat. However, I am very divided about what I experienced with Kris: very good times in beautiful landscapes thanks to his knowledge of the place and frustration: very little sailing despite the pretty west wind rising every afternoon. I dreamed of seeing the Kornati Islands and I understood that he did not intend to go there by justifying it several times (high price, lack of wind). His decisions about destinations, timing and places were made with too little consultation, without me understanding them, I did not support his inappropriate, aggressive behavior and his virulence towards others, I felt very embarrassed. I would have liked to have been generously welcomed at Kris' home with a gesture, a refreshment and I did not understand why he had participated so little in the daily tasks, it was painful for everyone. Too bad, Kris has beautiful sides

We had a great time with Kris . He suggested to change our destination because of the poor wind and we had 2 full days of sailing .it was really exiting. Kris was professional and involved us in sailing. We spent a wonderful time on the boat and the bays we saw were over our expectations . Wonderful holiday Thank you kris

We had a good time with the crew on the boat. Starting from Agana Marina we went to different bays around the islands of Hvar, Brac and Drvenik Mali. The wind conditions were not in our favour and we had to motor most of the time. Although there were a few small things to repair, the boat was in a good condition and we always felt safe.

I didn't have a good trip with this skipper. The week spend with him filled me with frustration. What striked me a lot were his arrogance and lack of knowledge about Kornati National Park islands. In his opinion all islands are just the same!! Isn't it a bit peculiar? So we stopped for three days in Smokvice island (which is very beautiful) but no way to visit more than that!! Even if the weather forcast was good we spend our last three day around Marina-Troghir. This is not the aim of my trip!! My aim was to visit Kornati National Park and not the village Vinisce or Marina-Troghir which are not beautiful, except for the blue lagoon. ---------------------------------------------------------SKIPPER KRIS' REPLY: Stefano and Gabriele arrived on Sunday, did all the shopping and got ready for the trip. On Monday because of the wind direction I had to motor all the way to Kornati. You were disappointed that we didn't sail and even though I explained why it didn't make any difference. We got there around 4pm and I decided to seek shelter because of bad weather coming. That night we were in a tornado with hail and havy rain, again you were disappointed. On Tuesday we sailed for over 4 hours and came back to the same marina. Tuesday night and Wednesday we had high winds up to 35Kt. Thursday morning we left the marina and sailed toward home base. I took you to a very nice bay in town of Viniscie. The next morning I took you to the Blue Lagoon where we spent all day. During the whole trip you complained about everything. It is unfortunate that I am not able to make weather or change wind direction. Those comments are totally without merit, I kept you safe and that's what was most important to me. Tuesday night the storm was coming from Venice with almost 5000 lighting strikes.   If because of my actions someone calls me a bad Skipper, so be it.

During 1 week tour to Koronati national park we could have two sessions of sailing each of 4 hours. This was great. We had to spend first 3 nights on Smokvice, the southernmost island of the park. When we finally had 3 whole days of good weather forecasts, from Thursday till Saturday, despite our insistence to visit the park at least a little bit to the north, he headed back to Vinisce bay, 1 hour with motor far from final destination Marina-Trogir. On Friday the only option was to disembark and stay the whole day in the town beach in Vinisce. Where are the beautiful bays with crystal clear water as advertised in the description of your tour? Apparently there are no such bays, except blue lagoon, which is very close to Trogir. When we tried to discuss this with him and we said the tour was far below our expectations he insulted me calling me an asshole, I still owe his excuses for this.
