review about Sailing, sailing, sailing with the Meltemi among deserted islands. September 2020
with Guido B. 53 years old
An experience designed to experience and share medium difficulty navigation aboard a fast and well-equipped boat.
Plan navigation, consult the weather with modern instruments, determine the route and shelters ... and then steer the boat by participating in all the maneuvers both at sea and in port.
Departure from Thessaloniki on 22 May with a south-east route in the direction of Kira : a leap of 100 miles to find shelter in a bay extremely protected from any wind.
We then proceed to Skyros . Then approach route to the Cyclades with a stop in Andros and then arrive in Mikonos, Levitha and finally Leros .
Navigation should be comfortable, with the Meltemi already formed but still not too demanding. A cruise that promises to reach extremely beautiful places by actually crossing half the Aegean sea!
Total miles: over 300
Beautiful and modern sailing boat, built with superior quality criteria and materials to be fast and safe at the same time.
A boat of 14 meters with very large spaces both on deck and below deck. 3 cabins for a total of 8 beds including 2 in the dinette, which however are not intended to be used to guarantee guests comfort and pleasure in navigation. Two bathrooms each with shower, 2 fridges including one freezer.
The boat is equipped with a 60-liter watermaker per hour which guarantees showers to everyone. Solar panels power generation system, for complete autonomy even in the case of long navigation or stays away from ports for many days.
Inflatable boat with electric motor capable of being used by anyone in total safety. Two bicycles, an electric scooter and snorkeling equipment for everyone.
The on-board electronics are of the latest generation and allow guests to consult the instruments from their phone, without risking navigation. Wi-fi and music both inside and outside the boat.
For the safety of those who cannot swim, there are little bulky self-inflating jackets (sizes also available for children) and special bracelets that signal the accidental fall into the sea and record the position.

Thessaloniki airport is very well served by every European city with many flights available.
From Leros, at the end of the cruise, it is possible to return to Athens either by direct flights or by ship.
Alternatively, you can easily reach Kos by fast ferry and from there depart from the international airport with direct flights to many European cities
