Brief description of the holiday
Easter is a special time to go to sea: the climate turns to the beautiful and the tourist destinations have not yet become crowded as in the summer season, in every place the time passes without frenzy revealing the truest and most peaceful dimension.
Ustica and San Vito are real paradises to be discovered.
San Vito lo Capo, with its breathtaking landscape, from the east with the wild coast of the Zingaro Reserve to the beach all tinged with coral pink, passing under the ancient lighthouse to Cala Mancina looking at the Egadi islands; the spectacle of the bay of Macari opens.
Leaving the moorings after a half-day navigation (about 6 hours) you are overwhelmed by the beauty of the colors of the sea and the Mediterranean scrub of Ustica, the welcome of the locals and the scents that invade the alleys of the town enchant anyone who finds themselves disembarking on the 'Island.
The walking tour of Ustica (about 12 km) is a wonderful experience immersed in the smell of newly blooming brooms, along the paths that reveal a panorama that takes the whole horizon for 360 °.
Ustica is the oldest marine protected area in Italy, created in 1986 to protect its spectacular seabed and the enchanting sea where if desired it will be possible to dive with local diving guides.
It will therefore be possible to dedicate yourself to excursions on land or at sea and, always based on the weather and sea conditions , we will decide together how to plan the days available. Four days of relaxation, contact with the elements, good food for the body ... and for the soul!
On board you will find the welcoming atmosphere of an inhabited boat and a crew ready to take care of every aspect of navigation and the well-being of its guests. Children are welcome; the little sailor who joined the crew in June will also sail with us!
If you like, you can participate in the maneuvers and learn the basics of sailing and seafaring culture, or just think about relaxing and enjoying all the little pleasures that going to sea offers us.
Viva 48, Cantiere Fiberstamp
The Viva 48 is a solid and sturdy sailboat, built with mastery to ensure good navigation and safety performance. Designed by Alfeo Scattolin in the late '70s as cruise-racer on the lines of Faram-Serenissima, his other creation of little previous one that had obtained several excellent results in the regattas of that period. The slender lines and the shape of the hull typical of the IOR class, give this boat remarkable sailing performance and the navigation is comfortable and safe in all weather conditions. The deck offers ample space both for the maneuver and for the relaxation of the guests on board. The interiors are simple and collected, cared for with love and characterized by the welcoming spirit of a boat that is also a home. There are 4 cabins (one for the crew) and two bathrooms. On board we try never to occupy the dinette to ensure maximum comfort for our guests; the boat can comfortably accommodate 6 people in the case of families with children, when our guests are all adults we prefer not to travel with more than 5 people. Each cabin has its own 12 V power socket and the boat has a 3.5 kW generator for 220 V power. Other technical details and equipment: Sloop rig, rigging 2018, full batten mainsail, lazy bag, genoa roller shutter, staysail on mobile tripod and flying shrouds, Iveco Aifo 95 hp engine, 220V Mase 3.5 KW generator set, Simrad GPS chart, VHF, Delta 20 Kg anchor, Quick anchor windlass 2015, 3.20 m tender with outboard motor 3 , 5 hp, diesel oil 500 liters, water 600 liters, water heater, fridge, gas cooker, microwave, stereo with CD player, large awning, sheets.

Other important information
We advise you to bring only the strictly necessary stored in bags or soft bags (no trolley!) That can be stowed once emptied. A pair of shoes to be used only on the boat and comfortable shoes for walking are essential.
Don't forget a sleeping bag, a windbreaker and a hat to protect yourself from the sun.
On board you will find sheets and towels.
We do not recommend bringing "superfluous" 220 volt equipment such as hair dryers (you can find it on board), hair straighteners, electric razors, etc. In each cabin there is a 12 v socket for recharging electronic devices, so we recommend to carry USB chargers.
Only biodegradable products are used on board, including for personal hygiene.
